Swingtop Lighter

A small, deliberate machine for fire, fidgeting, and hands-on fun. 

When you depress the swingarm to load it with opposing force, the top swings open. Then, you release your thumb, and the arm returns that force to strike the flint, sparking the flame. When you're ready to snuff it out, the top swings shut, and we're back to zero. From there, you'll probably want to do it again. And maybe again a few times after that. 

Why? Well, maybe you've got a lot of candles around the house. Or a bit of a thing for bottle rockets. Or, and this is our hunch, it's just a fun and satisfying thing to do with your hands. 

Built in explicit defiance of disposability, the Swingtop Lighter has a nearly magnetic draw that stands in stark opposition to its many made-to-be-lost alternatives. You're less likely to wonder where you left it because, chances are, it's still in your hand.

• Care and Maintenance
  • Wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth.
  • Dry thoroughly.
  • Avoid alcohol, solvents, or harsh chemicals, which can damage the finish.
  • Refill with naphtha-based lighter fluid only.
  • Wick and flint replacement instructions are included in the product manual.
  • If the lighter has not been used for an extended period, fuel may have evaporated. Refuel before use.
