Magnolia Market

In the Fall of 2015 Chip and Joanna Gaines officially opened Magnolia Market to the public. The massive complex covers two full blocks of Waco Texas’ historic downtown district. The market includes a 12,000 sq. ft. retail store, a food truck park, a garden store, bakery, and full service restaurant.

In January of 2017 we were invited to Waco for their annual vendor fair, Spring at the Silos. The three day event hosts more than 50,000 visitors and 80 vendors and makers. Even though it’s quite the drive from Des Moines to Waco, this was an opportunity that we could not pass up. We spent weeks manufacturing leather products, pouring candles, printing shirts, and designing our booth layout. In March we packed up Apollo and hit the road.

The event was a huge success for us. The new customers we met, the experience of an event that size, and the connections we made has had a lasting effect on us as a small business. We told ourselves that we would go back every chance we could get.

As of March 2019 we will be headed back down, for the third time, for an event at the Silos. It’s always a lot of work, but in the end, worth every bit of it. We still can’t figure out how we were lucky enough to be considered in the first place.
