Welcome to this - the second day of Twelve Days of Fontenelle Christmas!
We're more than proud to have the opportunity to provide our state of Iowa with the world famous 1901 Heritage line of Chippewa boots. Over the last several years, we've been fortunate enough to field test four of the industry's leading Made in USA footwear companies. Like many of you, we had a few very strict criteria our ideal boot company would have to pass to gain our loyalty:
- Made in the USA (in the Midwest even better) using the highest quality materials
- Must be re-sole-able (Vibram sole even better)
- Has to look good taking the wife to dinner - and - durable in the workshop / woods.
- Must be comfortable enough to be the only pair of footwear on a week long trip.
- Must be affordable enough for us to genuinely recommend them to friends and family.
Multi-week camping trips, countless moto rides, cross-country treks, fording small rivers, warding off frost bite, general discomfort, and unnecessarily short resoling periods; Chippewa has come out on top in each grueling scenario we've put them through - with flying colors, I might add.
For example, the pair of 6-inch Tan Renegade General Utility Service boots below have just surpassed the 1,000 mile mark as a daily wear over the last 3+ years and have yet to be re-soled. You read that correctly - 1 sole, 12 camping trips, two summers of motorcycle rides, and a total of over 1,000 miles walked in these shit kickers...
Chippewa boots started in a small factory on River Street in downtown Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin in 1901. Chippewa Boots continues the tradition today, supplying top-quality rugged boots and shoes for every purpose. Built to honor the guts and determination of the loggers and engineers who paved the way, built the roads, and constructed their buildings, Chippewa is more than just a pair of boots. Every pair of Chippewa Boots is built with uncompromising quality and standard, to be the finest made, most reliable, authentic and rich in heritage luxuries.
The Best, By Far...
"To this day, Chippewa Boots have remained uncompromising in their quality; representing integrity, heritage, and performance by preserving a high-quality, authentic product made with the finest materials."
If you're on the hunt this Holiday season for a pair of work boots that will look just as good in the office as in the woods, take a beating and keep on kickin', and are made in the good ol US of A, look no further than the 1901 Heritage line of Chippewa boots.
